Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automobile manufacturer. Although our work was limited to designing only the UI/UX of the app, it was great working with Ford. Who knows, they might even have gifted us a Mustang. 🙊

The Mission

Even before approaching us, Ford had a clear agenda regarding what they wanted to see on the screen. Since this was primarily a banking app, our creative freedom in terms of additional or limited data was restricted. We had to adhere to strict banking data guidelines to present it in a more appealing manner.

DISCOVER

While we have previously worked on multiple banking and EMI management apps, this was our first time working on a vehicle EMI app. Although we had all the necessary data from Ford, we still conducted additional research on UI and UX to better understand the flow and present an improved UI to Ford.

DESIGN

After identifying the key areas of focus and requirements for building a successful EMI management app, we established a design direction that would serve as the foundation for all interfaces. Throughout the design process, we continually referred to this approach to ensure that we were meeting our goals.

COLOUR

To truly capture the essence of our concept, we didn't have much freedom in selecting colors, but we had the rights to play with different shades of blue. We carefully chose vibrant and eye-catching colors that can be easily visible on dark screens.

UI Design

Our primary goal is to develop an app interface with a distinct style: SOLID MINIMALIST. Our objective was to create a design that caters to business people who have financed a car through Ford Finance, with an aesthetic UI. We aim to provide a design that resonates with users who appreciate quality in their products.

Conclusion - what we learnt from this project

• We learned how to design a Car EMI Finance app interface for use in real devices, and gained insight into how car EMI systems work in real-life.
• We were able to create an immersive experience for users while replaying their loan EMIs.
• The successful project hand-off helped to establish growing trust, allowing us to work on larger engagements in the future.
• We have developed an aesthetically appealing, user-friendly and accessible user experience for users.
